Should an adjudicator/quiz master set a valid starting station to keep the game moving?

I would suggest that the DC lines constitute a separate route out of the terminal station therefore London Euston has two separate routes out of the terminal station, meaning it is not invalid under rule 1.

The DC lines are geographically and operationally separated from the mainlines and call at different stations.

You can proceed from Euston along the DC lines to Willesden Junction and then move onto the London Overground network without using any of the same stations or routes as those served by the Euston mainline.
