A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
The next leg starts at:
Bentley

We need clarification when the same named station to start off a new leg can be in two widely spaced geographical areas.

In this case, we are faced with two options:-
Bentley station in South Yorkshire
Bentley station in Hampshire.

Can we please have clarification which of these two stations we should choose in order to make a follow-up posting.

Sorry, I forgot about the Bentley in South Yorkshire, so I take it that the embargo applies from now?

This leg is starting at:
Bentley (Hampshire)

It may be appropriate to give a gentle reminder of the rule regarding station names:

...full English names of stations are used - the name as given by National Rail Enquires is considered to be definitive

This should also include the county names (or other geographic suffixes) that some stations are given in timetables in order to differentiate them from similarly named stations.

Incidentally, the newly simplified rules (on page one of the thread) no longer include the 15 minute embargo on posting after starting a new leg. (However, we are monitoring whether the removal of this rule has any detrimental effect on the game: it can be replaced pretty sharpish if needs be! :p)
