Is this the longest journey without junction options? If someone does Dalston/Silverdale, you have to go to the end.

Hmm. Does it beat Dingwall-Georgemas Junction, Dundee-Aberdeen-Inverness, Craven Arms-Llanelli or Crianlarich-Mallaig?

It's probably longer than the last two.

Dingwall-Georgemas is 18 stops, Dundee - Inverness is 20, Crianlarich-Mallaig is also 20.
Carnforth-Carlisle is 35 stations.

Not quite true in that you can miss out Silverdale on a TPE from Arnside ;)

In terms of distance, surely Dundee-Aberdeen-Inverness beat it hands down?

Going by stations, HoWL (Craven Arms-Llanelli) is 28. Dovey Junction-Pwlheli is 26.
