On the other hand, the previous system of moving forward one in situations like that caught me out when I thought I had the 3rd-last station - alas, I ended up too late and honour-bound to concede with the 2nd last instead! :roll:

True, but this is worse than that. Zoe had already posted Stroud when I began to type "Stroud" - I copied her posting! My answer should have been Kemble, and it's entirely my own fault that I lost.

I came on to the thread with the last valid station having been Stroud, so to type Stroud and not Kemble - especially given the latter would have won - must be the biggest mistake the thread has seen in its five week history :roll:

Surely, it should be referred to adtrainz in his capacity as quizmaster to do this, out of courtesy to him.

The way I understood it was it was merely a suggestion to help with clarity. I haven't seen anywhere that says it's now an official rule, unless I've missed something...

Nothing official, but as suggested above I've now sent him a PM making said suggestion. It is only that though - a suggestion. It just prevents any confusion arising from people making awkward edits, as well have all been guilty of before now.
