Above is the relevent rule. The clok starts at 09:00 for the penalty, so there were effectively 6 hours and 25 minutes between points, so it is two lots of 20 points off I'm afraid.

It is not possible to have negative points, so if this occurs the value will default to zero.

I trust that this extract section that is near to the bottom of the rules on the first posting of this particular quiz will put any such queries out of the worry of quiz contributors.

It would have been better to have had this particular rule clarification placed in a section where its relevance would have been far more obvious.
