does anyone know the latest on Leeds new entrance near the dark arches - some think it has been shelved ? We live in blue appt which looks down to the river and really can not wait ! We use the station for quite a few shopping needs I wonder if some sort of residents pass or plaform ticket may be possible to use the new entrance to go shopping then return to our appt with out trudging under the dark arches ?

Cheers

Paul

Still going ahead according to WY Metro.
Will shave minutes off my trips out of the station from the TPE platforms to the Grove!

Still wrong.
I'm quite pleased really. Well, I wouldn't want the place to get really busy with you lot...

As far as I'm aware the planning permission was granted and funding was found last year, so it should be going ahead. Pleased that it will be as well as I worked a bit on it, will be good to see if when it opens.

Just saw your question as well, not sure if they will let people through as there will be barriers in place. As far as I'm aware it is not the same as in Sheffield which was supposedly a public right of way across the railway (?) whilst this will not be.

Must be the midnight bell or the cross keys ??
Somebody buy the man a pint! It was indeed the Midnight Bell in Water Lane. Highly recommended Leeds Brewery pub.
Strange isn't it how so many topics on this forum turn into discussions about beer and pubs...

Should that read priced?

(BTW. The Grove is the only PROPER pub in Holbeck)

The Grove is the best pub in Leeds, by far. Can one of the Mods lock this topic, as there is no more to be said on the matter ;)

No more expensive than many and a little cheaper than some but if it's cheap beer you want and (quite sensibly) prefer to avoid Wetherspoon's try the Angel in an alley between Land's Lane and Brigate. It's been a little while since I went there regularly but the Sam Smith's OBB was cheaper than anything in Wetherspoons and always on far better form.
On the subject of expensive beer; I've only just recovered from paying £3.30 for a pint of Spitfire during a visit down south. Very nice it was but £3.30?

But I have to agree with you about the Grove; definitely a PROPER Holbeck pub ;)
