Are they finally meeting their end on Rails today?, just coming into Cardiff Central as I type this and I could see them being loaded onto lorrys. Both in pretty battered condition windows smashed ect

Wikipedia says they've been used as spare parts donors, so it would figure that if there's nothing left of use, they'll be scrapped.

Shame really, but no use to anyone now in the condition their in. Impossible for them to be preserved as their not in a passenger configuration as well

Well if you look at some of the restoration jobs the preserved railways have done, I'd say certainly not impossible, but there are a fair number of them already preserved.

Both gone to the Barry Island Railway, reports suggest one good unit to be made out of the pair.
