Trivia. This must be one of the few stations with more Sunday trains than the rest of the week with one train each way daily and an additional train to St. Ives on Sundays.

Not sure if it's still the case....but, for many years the Whitby branch used to have more trains on Sundays than on weekdays - seven and four each way respectively.
