Correct.

Your turn.
Clue1:This station is served by 2 TOCs
Clue2:It has a service to one London Terminal
Clue3:It has two through platforms. It also used to have a west-facing bay serving a branch line but this closed many years ago
Clue4: It is further west than Swindon
Clue5: Some of the trains are loco hauled

Clue6: The branch line in clue 3 served 6 intermediate stations before reaching a pier with a connecting steamer service

Correct. Shame you can’t still take a connection for the Fort Augustus to Inverness steamer
Thanks. If the North British Railway had had their way, that line would have been extended to Inverness....and would possibly still have been open to this day. Unfortunately the Highland Railway - and some wealthy Highland landowners, who were probably HR shareholders - had other ideas and were determined to use all the powers available to them - including Parliamentary ones - to defend their bastion in the North.
