Yep, using the 1:50000 in Memory Map I get a straight line distance of 2.4 miles from Exeter St Davids to the tidal limit of the Exe.
Well, I'm pretty sure your stations by a tidal river.Yep, using the 1:50000 in Memory Map I get a straight line distance of 2.4 miles from Exeter St Davids to the tidal limit of the Exe.
All the obvious ones by the actual coast have been given I think.I wonder what gives you that impression?
Ah, I did think BRI, but couldn't remember if the river was near by. I was last there 2 years ago.No more guesses, half an hour more and Clue 5 has been active for 3 hours.
To recap:
1) Within 200m of tidal water
2) In England
3) Class 15x units call at this station
4) Is/was served by First
5) Has direct services to the three Captials

We've reached 18:00 and time for me to go out so I'll put this one to bed, the answer I was looking for was Bristol Temple Meads, asylumxl was quite right with the guess about it being on a tidal river, the Avon is tidal as it passes by the the southern end of the station.
