Clue 5: This is the only station in the country with no double arrow sign outside the station or name sign on either platform but there is a reason for that which will give you the answer if you think about the latter fact.

It could be Fishguard Harbour but for 'either platform'.

You are on the right lines with Sugar Loaf though but Sugar Loaf does have both a double arrow sign on the A483 and signs on the platforms unlike this unique station on the Valley Lines.

It is indeed Gilfach Fargoed - too small to have a sign on either platform saying GF so a teleporting alien wold have to look at the highlighted row in the timetable to establish where they are. Also, no BR totem pole here as it is a fair walk down the valley from the top estate.

As far as I'm aware GF still has no station signage but any members from Bargoed or the Rhymney line, please let me know if GF now has such signage.
