I just hope it is the original platform. Shacks on the borders line are the best I can come up with.

The Borders Line seems very popular at the moment! According to that great oracle of reliable info, Wikipedia, a number of the new stations are on slightly different sites to the originals, so I'll try for ....

I've been trying to use Borders stations as much as possible, myself.

OK, correction time! I've made an adjustment to Clue 3 after misreading Realtime Trains and subsequently checking my Quail Track Map.

The clues are now ....

1: This station is within 50 miles of Huddersfield.
2: Two TOCs serve this station.
3: There are three platforms, but only two are in public use.
4: Some trains terminate here, some trains continue through.
