5: The next station to the north of this has all services on the line stop, the next station to the south has only one service each way M-F.

As far as I am aware, Selhurst has four platforms, or has the up fast one been taken out of use?
Also, I suspect that there are only two TOCs service it; Southern and FCC; but I could be wrong on that.

I don't think Horwich Parkway has 3 platforms for a start !

Point taken on that score, but the clue was: 'This station is the closest station to a Football League ground.' which is a tad misleading, albeit made after the clue you mention above... ;)

It's Fratton isn't it ?
Correct.

Apologies for the ambiguous clue, I didn't think of Gary's interpretation. The intention was for it to be the closest station to a particular football league ground, in this case Fratton Park. I would suggest the closest station to any football league ground would be the Manchester United Halt at Old Trafford, the closest with a regular service would probably be Falmer or Horwich Parkway, unless I am missing one (how close is St. James Park, I require the ground tick having somehow missed it when Hull City AFC were in the fourth division).
