Clue 3: This station is served solely by South West Trains. Trains of precisely 2 other TOCs pass through without stopping.

Oops, I checked through table 165 and couldn't see one, I thought it was only Swanwick, Netley and Woolston they served. I should be more careful in checking next time I suppose, out of interest which service is it?

It calls at Sholing 0838, going towards Southampton Central (it's the same one that calls at Bitterne). Admittedly there is no corresponding return working as far as I can see (ditto Bitterne and Netley).

Does clue 4 tell us anything that clue 3 doesn't?

And the only station left that I think is possible is Winnersh Triangle.

It told you that: 1) there are no terminating services; and 2) passing services are more common than stopping services.

The correct answer was Swaythling.
