Not sure he meant "just" east of Cardiff! :p

Cholsey

O/F if correct (it has happened!); I have a meeting in 14 minutes.

As it's the first clue, it's 24 hours after the clue was set.

(See post #120.)

I think you misunderstand. The way its phrased in Post 120 says 24 hors to set first clue, then 12 to respond to cluer. This floor is therefore open and shoulda been since 1314

Sorry for the late response, I've had a very busy day :p

Anyway so far all are incorrect.

Clue 2: I am not electrified.

Sorry mate, but the rules are quite specific about not posting when its your floor. You forfeited that floor by not posting after first clue for over 12 hours

Indeed, not posted for over 24 hours.

Personally, if I was setting clues, I would let people know if I had to go offline, and approximately when I though I would be back.

I'm not too enamoured with "Clue 2" either. All stations within 80 miles of Cardiff are not electrified

Serves me right for not reading the rules properly I guess :)

The answer was Oxford.

PS: Martin, I did expect to check this again yesterday afternoon, however due to unforseen (note that word), I wasn't able to, also it's Ivo's job to decide if clues set are fair, not yours... ;)

The clues were no worse than clagmonster's "In Great Britain" ones ;)

I shall claim the floor.

Clue 1: This station is north of the A14, but south of the M62.

I don't know where the A14 is. Therefore, using only the M62 clue, I shall say Wakefield Westgate.

I still don't know who they are. There isn't a station called 'person', 'human' or similar, so there is presumably some connection between them. Presumably they are famous, so have appeared in the same television program or film or some such. I'm going to be random and say Aspley Guise.

Posted in the wrong thread. Do I lose a point seeing as I have already had a punt at this clue?

You don't. It clearly wasn't intended for this thread. Also, the A14 runs Felixstowe to Rugby.

Clue 2: It is managed by EMT

Leicester? Only four platforms, it is probably just north of the Felixstowe - Rugby road.
