Clue 1: This station has a service once an hour in each direction from early morning to late night seven days a week (and more frequently during Monday to Friday peak times).

Clue 2: All trains that call at and pass through this station are EMUs which are normally in formations of 4 or 8 or 12 coaches.

Clue 4: This station currently has two platforms both of which are through platforms. However it used to have four platforms. The two platforms that have closed were both bay platforms.

Clue 4 - this station is situated on a single line; which is signalled under No Signalman Key Token regulations from a mechanical signalbox situated in the nearest town a couple of miles to the north.

Clue 5 - the nearest town a few miles to the north has two stations, one of which is the next stop northbound from this station. The two stations of this town have only been connected by rail again relatively recently
