Sorry about the delay.

Clue 5:
This station used to have a county suffix in order to distinguish itself from a now closed station in Lincolnshire. The line through the Lincolnshire station is still open, and the Lincolnshire signalbox still retains its county suffix.
The answer station's town is still often referred to with the same county suffix as the station formerly had.

Appleby ( in Westmorland) ?

Trains originate in Leeds and Carlisle.

Bradford Forster Square was built by the Leeds & Bradford Railway, though was later rebuilt by the Midland. The current station was built by BR in the early 90s.

Clue 4:
Whilst it is a terminus, the tracks continue on and see irregular use by trains going beyond the station itself.

I might be stretching irregular a bit there, my ideas range from one extreme to another.
