I can't make up my mind on this Chathill has 2 trains a day, which was my first thought, and then I thought Polesworth but that has only one platform in use, so I'm a bit stumped.

Polesworth is the correct awnser, as it does still have 2 platforms.
I thought it might be a bit cruel.

I would say that when referring to number of platforms, one should consider only those in use, but that's just my thought, otherwise one could argue that stations such as Newquay have 2 platforms...

1: This station has 3 platforms
