What's the most unusual/ unconventional signal box you've ever seen or heard of?

I'll start with one of my locals, only recently found out this was actually a signal box! Burn Naze North (building on the right next to the pway hut.)

Doesn't exactly stand out does it?

The station manager's office under the bridge on platform 2/3 at Derby was originally a signal box controlling crossovers between the platform tracks. This is now not only the oldest surving operational building of Derby station but also the oldest surviving signal box in the Derby area! There were similar mid-platform boxes on both islands at Nottingham - look for the big windows.

Glencruitten was also pretty unusual - signalman's house (or possibly two) combined with the box itself.

Birmingham New Street signal box. Definitely doesn't look like something from a Hornby train set. It's grade II listed too: http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=442131

Amberley's signalbox looks like a shed nailed onto the side of the railway station building.

There was a signal box picture on the forum a while back, it look pretty standard from a train, but from the roadside it looked more like a small block of flats.
Not a great description I know, but I expect someone will have the answer.

Duston West?

A tall box controlling signalling on two seperate lines at different levels, that did not connect in its area of control.

Gospel Oak signal box was literally a garden shed for a few months during 1985 after the original box burnt down. It was replaced by a portacabin in late 1985 (IIRC) which lasted until early 2011 when the line was resignalled.
