Can I just point out the Tube " Map" is not a map. But a diagrammatical representation of an Underground Railway network.

It is actually a schematic map and I would consider them to be a form of map. In fact I studied them on my cartography course in the mid to late 90s and when working as a professional cartographer, even produced one once. Not of the London Underground though.

The Waterloo & City is very quiet outside the peaks, and IIRC at some point it only ran in the peaks. Indeed a few years ago it didn't run after 1830 on Saturdays.

Until quite recently it was closed on weekday evenings too. Since it now runs until around midnight, Sundays may be the next step... The City now has a much busier social scene than it did only a few years back.

Thank you all for filling out my survey! Your responses have been extremely helpful!

I have another method of data collection of which I wish to use, and I would like to give you all the opportunity to partake in this.

I ask anyone that wishes to get involved to 'draw me a map of london' (it can be as detailed or a basic as you like) and then give me a small description of what it is you have drawn and why.

If you could do this and send your drawings and feedback to my email address at: zyva771@live.rhul.ac.uk

Thank you to anyone who gets involved in this, I understand this may be a big ask but I hope some of you are willing to participate!

Thanks again....Ciara :D

Just to clarify, this map should just be drawn from your mental image of the city....the first thing you see in your head when you think of a map of London....

Thanks
