Hi All,
Just left Stoke on a Manchester Piccadilly bound train, and noticed standing in a yard just off the line were two GBRF Class 66 cabs, torn off from the body, now obviously this has to be the 66 that derailed up in Scotland a couple of years ago, anyone know why there there? And the exact location, i had no idea where i was.

New to the forum :)

Thanks

It is the GM facility, they are there as spares - location Longport, Stoke!the latter probably obvious as you 'had just left Stoke'?

Can't answer your question, I'm afraid, but soon after they were moved from the crash site they appeared in the yard of a haulage company in Longton, Stoke on Trent:

They moved soon afterwards, but clearly not very far!
