From this bus station, we take the 1620 SMTU 418 service to Ceasa arriving at 1703 on Thursday afternoon.
This is the 'meeting of the waters', the confluence of the Rios Negro and Solimoes, one clear, the other brown, the actual source of the Amazon proper.
This is where I wanted to reach. In the hope of getting a ferry here. I can't find any kind of timetable or even a estimate of how long the crossing is.
Our Amazon quest reached we retrace our steps.
1724 sees us take a 706 bus to Terminal Praca Matriz arriving 1830 on Thursday evening.
We take up johnnychips' offer of the connection back to the airport. That connection comes in the form of a Number 641 bus to Alameda Santos Dumont, 1876 (Manaus), departing at 1939 and arriving at 1951 this Thursday evening.
At this early time of day our transfer is effortless.
We are soon bound for a part of the world we have not yet explored that much... Central America.
At exactly 0500 our aircraft operating Copa Airlines 173 pushes back and we fly to Tocumen Intl, Panama City, Panama arriving 0808 local time on Friday morning.
We walk five minutes to the stop San Antonio 1 and take a numberless bus, destination Policia Nacional 1 provided by MiBus at 0840 to Estacion Maranon (Bay C) arriving at 0937 on Friday Morning.
This seems pretty central, only a couple of minutes walk to the Metro station, bus connection to the end of the Panama Canal
Nothing for it but to return to the airport.
At 1000 we join another MiBus service to San Antonio 1 (for Tocumen International) arriving 1057 on Friday morning.
It certainly is. Does it come from the hotel, which would have been all that was really there before the building of the large road interchange?
Red cows as far as the eye can see, now just cars and the odd tram.
Just noticed the tram line is also Red!
We head back into central Dublin on this Red Line at 0721 and arrive at Heuston at 0739 on Saturday morning.

No time to admire the college we are soon on our way aboard Dublin bus number 145 at 0812 bound for my surname town better known as Loughlinstown, Loughlinstown Hospital where we arrive at 0842 on Saturday morning.

Never ceases to amaze me where we get to in this game. I should visit in RL, I wonder if Loughlin's get discounted travel?
We take to the high seas, and board MS Epsilon on her 15:30* Irish Ferries sailing from Rosslare Europort bound for France. We are offered a comfortable berth for the night, and partake of the ship's amenities (which appears to consist of a bar). Hungover, we arrive in Cherbourg at 11:30 on Sunday morning.

*Which is within the half-hour interchange time + 3 hours rule.
Seems we have found ourselves in a sleepy French town on a Sunday afternoon.
We thus cure our hangover in a nearby cafè, with a good strong Coffee or three.
Much refreshed and very much wide awake we stroll down to the gare (picking up the lingo already) and step aboard...
... SNCF Intercités train number 3346 which leaves at 1653 and we alight a short while later at Evreux Normandie the time being 1718 on Sunday.
We arrive here, in this beautiful French town. Now, we can speak French. We travel with Transurbain service T1, which leaves the station at 17:52 today. We travel to Molière, and arrive at 18:06 on Sunday evening.
As the other bus service to Moliere doesn't operate on Sunday, we are forced to jump back on the bus we have taken (OK with rules as it is the terminus) and thus take the 1808 T1 Transurbaine service to Pole d'Echanges Jean Jaures in Evreux, arriving at 1822 on Sunday evening
