We sit around at the port for an hour or so before heading to the nearby Πειραιάς station and leaving on the 0725 departure. We arrive into Αθήνα (Athens?) at 0744 Saturday morning.

That certainly looks like Athens.
We wish to sample some more of the Greek railway network...

So we board TrainOSE number 884 at 0827 and alight at Domokos/Δομοκός arriving at 1203 on a Saturday lunchtime

We continue our journey South. This move should also give us the chance to continue our travels despite the late hour.

We board TrainOSE 61 to SKA Rail Center of Acharnes/EKA at 1945 arriving into the Greek capital at 2315 on Saturday night

It's then time to visit somewhere we've repeatedly ended up in: Doha, Qatar. This particular trip is courtesy of Qatar Flight 208, taking off at 0110 and landing at 0540 Sunday morning.

Please remember to put your source on all moves.

We then board the 1650 British Airways flight 275 to Las Vegas International Airport, arriving there at 1920 on Sunday evening.

We wish to see the delights of The Strip so we nip around the corner onto East Flamingo Road.
We want the 202 or CX and we just miss one of each.

Still not too long to count our money whilst we still have it.
As a bus pulls up...

At 2129 the RTCSNV 202 numbered service leaves and arrives right outside Caesar's Palace at 2143
The stop is named Flamingo @ Las Vegas (W) and the day is Sunday

PS. What are the rules regarding plane to plane transfer?
I allow a min 30 minutes like when transferring between trains/buses and planes/ferries.
Can't see any specific rule for plane to plane, there may not be one. If not can we agree one?

While we're thinking about fine-tuning the rules, what is agreed rule-of-thumb for time between an international flight landing and being out of the terminal to board ground transportation? Is this up to individual poster's discretion & maybe personal experience, or should there be some quiz-wide standard?

-------------------------------------

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada does not publish a specific timetable for the bus routes along The Strip (giving only general frequency guides), but the on-line journey planner allows us to select ....

The 2157 departure of RTCSNV's "The Deuce" from Las Vegas Blvd / Caesar's Palace, through the bright lights and arriving Las Vegas Blvd / Mandalay Bay at 2217 Sunday evening.

We wish to change our mode of transport...

To get there we need to take the SDX bus route. Again like the Deuce no specific times are given. Just tells us that it's every 15 minutes.
So assuming the worst and we've just missed one we will walk across this busy road to the stop at Las Vegas @ Luxor (N) and board at 2232 taking this SDX service to Paradise @ Sahara Monorail station (N) arriving at 2257 on Sunday night

We take a full-length ride on the Las Vegas Monorail, leaving Sahara and arriving into MGM Grand at 2325 Sunday night.

We leave the Monorail and cross over Tropicana to the stop at Tropicana @ Duke Ellington (E)

Timings are a different depending where you look. Google maps has all the stops and says it's 11 minutes. While RTCSNV has the main stops listed and says it's 9 minutes for our journey from a stop further away!

Either way we've just missed a bus. The 201 as the WAX does not run at this hour of night.
So we board at roughly 2345 and take the 201B service to Tropicana @ Maryland (E) where we get off at 2356 on Sunday night

24 hours and no new moves

Certainly not having a go, just curious but why is that the case here?
The last few days have seen very few posts.
Can't be difficulty as all you regular posters are so good.

My I suggest that any 24 hour periods in future with no moves bring about an open floor?

Come on, we don't want to be stuck in Sin City for all eternity! :D

Having wasted most of our money, we decide it's time to leave Las Vegas. The first part of this involves crossing the street and boarding the 0015 bus to Tropicana @ Maryland (E), arriving at 0024 Monday morning.

Duh...

We fumble in our significantly lighter pockets for our GoAnywhere card, and use it to board the 0041 109 bus back to McCarran International Airport (N), arriving at 0050 Monday morning.

We board probably the only flight we can at this time of the day, Hawaiian Airlines flight HA17 to Honolulu, HI, USA. It leaves at the ungodly hour of 01:55, touching down at 05:00 local time on Monday morning.

Oh boy! The Marshall Islands, did not see that one coming.

Seems we are stuck with United Airlines and the same 737 on all TWO of our options here. Return to Hawaii or carry on to Kwajalein, MH.

Checked this airport does have onward options. Actually seems a busier airport then Majuro.

So then, we take in this remarkable looking place and continuing our Polynesia travels we take...

There appears to be no onward transportation here, and it seems there won't be until the next day. We fly back to Majuro on the 1815 United flight 155, arriving at 1913 on Wednesday afternoon.

No onward travel???

Flight 154 does continue ahead. Island hops till she reaches Guam at 1755.

Only just found that out.
We have found ourselves on a flight 154/155 merry go round.
We are getting dizzy and spot a way out so...

The only flights at this time of morning are local flights around Hawaii. So, we wait for the Boeing 717 on Hawaiian 102 to taxi in and board it. It deposits us at Hilo, Hawaii at 0552 Wednesday morning.

Time to slow things down and do some Hawaii sightseeing.

We're lucky as the island bus operator Hele-on Bus has only recently started serving the airport at Hilo.

Oddly the timetable suggests the buses only call one way. Surely not but just in case we follow the timetable.

So at 0800 we board this new Hele-on Bus service to its end at Kings Landing arriving there at 0820 on a Wednesday morning

You'll find the required timetable under the Keaukaha route bus schedule. The website is very informative.

The bus route is a loop, so we stay on the bus and ride back around to Hilo Airport, arriving at 0920 Wednesday morning.

Seeing our planned omnibus tour of Hawaii thwarted we trudge into the terminal at Hilo.

We attempt to board the 0925 departure to Honolulu but are turned away for 'cutting it too fine by half, sir'

An hours wait is all that's needed before we take to the skies again.
