Saw a photo on twitter the other day of a peacock on the up platform. Thought it was a promotional stunt or similar by the horticulturists who do a great job - and didn't look into it too much. To my suprise this evening, pulling into Hindley - the peacock was stood a few feet from the platform having a peck about. I was amused and intrigued. Hope it doesn't hop onto the 4 foot like its brother pheasants...

Anyone have any more info on this? Or an opinion! :)

I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw it. Now I look out for it whenever I'm passing through!

The local press have picked up the story.
