Good evening all!
Just signed up this evening as I'm currently in the same situation as a lot of you, in that I am currently waiting the the GTR talent pool pending medical. I applied towards the end of April 2015, passed my day one and day two aptitude tests, and subsequently passed my interview. I have been told that I will be contacted in due course for my medical once a course date is available.
Just thought I'd say hello and 'show my face' as it were. I've been told I've been pencilled in for the Kings Cross depot.
Is anyone else down for kings cross and in the same position as me?

Had some feedback from my driver contact and as we suspected the recruitment of trainee drivers is still ongoing and is more proactive than ever!
As GTRemployee stated other recruiting is on hold.
So we can all sit back, relax a little and go back to playing the waiting game again.
I've finished my driving over here so I'm unemployed until I get the call.

I'm in the same position, passed interview in July, awaiting medical and start date for Kings X.

Would be so nice! If they make calls today
Would be nice if they called anytime.... my phone is permanently glued to my hip so Im unlikely to miss it.
Optimistic about this year but Ive settled on the fact Ill probably get a call next year....

Been waiting since June so not a massive amount of time but still would be fantastic to be able to plan ahead for the remainder of this year and next.
In reality if no calls today or next week it's next year for us all.
Can't see December courses starting
I remember being told if just missed July and I'd likely be starting September, those were the days
The wait continues .....
tbh I accepted that scenario when the handful of applicants were offered 1 of 2 Bedford courses the other week. Knew in my mind that it was highly unlikely there'll be more this side of xmas.
I'm ok with waiting til next year to start, its the not knowing what date which gets me

Thanks notice handed in today 27/11 last day so week before I start and a week's annual leave from 20/11 as well

Bring It On.... I think ML said he has a date in December, so December cant be ruled out if they need to squeeze in more courses before the end of the year.
