Congrats ml, glad you got the result you were waiting for!

Congrats to all the others too :)

I haven't, but I don't think I need one as I currently work for gtr, and I think the medical I had is still valid

The driver medical is different to other GTR grades so I suspect you will have to do a new one.

Another day wasted checking emails & standing by the phone goes by

Hopefully this push to give people start dates continues

Likewise waiting for Bedford

Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
A colleague of mine has been offered a start at Bedford - phonecall came yesterday.

Perhaps it would be a decent move to log all of those that have a definite start and at what depot, like was done for those in the talent pool.

Why offer two start dates for Bedford then? They must be full or as good as. Sorry to be negative

Agree. 2 days ago when the guys on here were offered Bedford, if GTR needed for example 16 people total for those 2 dates, they would've rang all 16 that day imho.

I agree. I think Hoody was offered both dates and then later calls were offered what was left. They will be full now. Heres hoping for the next course. Cant see them starting people in December so hopefully will be January. Hoping our patience will pay off.

We don't know for sure it's all a lot of guesswork really.

Still have my heart set on a 2015 start date

16 people is two classrooms of trainees. There's eight to a class, so that's two Classroom Trainers - Classroom Trainers sometimes go sick, and have a week of annual leave sometimes, so it's entirely plausible for there to be two start dates a week apart with that number of Trainees.

Hope this is reassuring. :)

I heard they were 'summarizing courses for the next six months' so hopefully all hear soon

I don't mind when the start date is, I just want to know it.

I'd rather find out today that I'm starting in January, than find out in November I'm starting in December - if that makes sense

What exactly does that mean ML ?

I'm the same Bucko would rather know a start date so I can plan my life around it rather than maybe next month maybe next year

Think all of us would rather know that so that we can actually plan to do stuff before hand rather than planning one or two weeks in advance just incase.

Not really sure of the point you're making whoosh - forgive me

There have been 2 start dates a week apart - Hoody was offered 23rd or 30th Nov for Bedford.

That bit we already know...... not sure what we're supposed to be reassured about mate?

Or am I being a bit dim and not getting what you say?? Apologies if so.

Didnt quite follow that either Bucko. The two courses will be filled by now. The forum members allocated to said courses had their medical what June or before June. At a guess and its only a guess as its mostly hearsay on here anyway, it looks as though the courses are being filled chronologically. I had my medical July7th, have seen a few others on here with a similar medical date which have yet to be allocated a start date. This would then suggest that the next batch of courses whenever they get released will be for the July medical forum members. But really i could just be talking absolute rubbish as really until any of us actually get a phone call its all pure speculation. I empathise with how everyone feels though constantly checking the phone/email/forum and harsh and maybe even obvious as it may seem i think its just a case of.... Wait for the call.

That guts me even more ( if correct )

I passed DMI June 3rd and medical was fortnight later. Then there was a mix up with my booking, which led to it being rearranged for mid July.

If it weren't for the mix up, and if you're right about chronological order, I could've been called up by now

I've always thought it was based on when you passed your medical I know Matt K and I passed stage 2 on the same date but he had his medical a few weeks before me and he's been allocated to Bedford, looks like I might have narrowly missed out ??????????????????

I had my dmi on 20th May and medical on 5th June . Haven't got a clue how they decide who next gets the call. I reckon there is a score system combining all elements of the assessments and interview.
