It won't speed it up atall it will just **** them off
You go into the talent pool if you've passed the medical.
Just a quick question, do you all go in the talent pool even if you've not had a medical? I had a call to say that I passed my final interview and they will call me back when they have a date for my medical. No mention of talent pool.
You also go into the talent pool if you've passed the assessment, passed the DMI and are waiting to be offered a medical.
As IKB states there's a heck of a lot of rumour and speculation.
You cannot go into a talent pool if you have not had a medical. The whole idea is to pass everything, including medical, then be told that they will contact you in due course.
Do you know, RedZed, of anyone who started training without a medical?
Um, I beg to differ....forgive my lack of comprehension of the English language, but...one of several emails sent to me from GTR stating:
"This email is to advise you that you remain in our talent pool for the role of Trainee Train Driver as you have passed the entire assessment process including interview".
Yes...its says YOU. It doesn't say EVERYONE. Re-read what ComUtoR said on the previous page.
It's perfectly possible to have your assessments, interviews, medical and job offer without being put into a talent pool. Other seasoned contributors to the forums (previously involved in driver recruitment) have alluded to the process used to grade applicants.
A lot of what you read here is rumour and speculation from fellow applicants. Judging by the last few pages it just seems to wind people up! Unless you hear it from HR directly then take with a pinch of salt.
Consider this from ComUtoR on the previous page: "I went from somewhere deep in a pile on a guys desk to assessment 2 days later. You can't "guarantee" anything. Its hard, if not impossible to determine what the person on the other end of the phone is thinking and how they will treat your application.....Waiting for years in a talent pool is just another method the TOC's are using to defer and sift applicants. Consider that there is a talent pool yet vacancies are still advertised. We have new Trainees that applied less than a few months ago. So much for the talent pool."
Sorry but I've never heard of a business paying for Bupa Medicals for candidates they are trying defer or wait for someone better to come along
Hi again, I have applied for both 3bridges back in August, and the recent London vacancies, but have had no contact from them as yet, I have also passed the assessments earlier this year with another TOC. Does anyone think this is a goid sign to progression to a DMI? Have people had rejections from application stage? Just looking for a little light on the situation!
