1966. I've recently been able to view, perhaps not the greatest UK Comedy film but certainly towards the end perhaps one of the best and funniest train chases on film involving 5 units of different traction.

Some Questions.

1. Does anyone know where the train chase was filmed?

2. What happened to 68961 and 68011?

3. Was the Diesel unit with the police 1102? a Thumper?

4. Does anyone know of other great train chases on film?

Hope this is in the correct forum.

1.It was filmed on the now closed Longmoor Military Railway in Hampshire.

3. 1102 was a Hampshire Unit "Thumper".

The General 1926
Buster Keaton at his best.

Funnily enough roughly based on the same real life event as 'The Great Locomotive Chase'
