Determined to do a RailTour this year and The Great Britain IV seems perfect with the chance to get behind an A4 and some Black Fives.

Question is this; can you join the tour "late" so to speak? I'd like to join at Edinburgh but I'm looking at the booking form, and the "joining station" option vanished when I selected TGB as the train. I'm assuming this means no, but I thought I'd like to make sure.

I'd imagine you almost certainly couldn't do that. I've got the RTC's brochure in front of me and it simply quotes all-inclusive prices for the whole tour. And if you joined at Edinburgh then it would mean an empty seat for the other parts of the trip.

The only thing it might be worth enquiring about is whether you can do the trip from Inverness to Kyle and back behind 61994, as this is an optional extra (£167 premier / £119 first), but even then I suspect they won't let you (shame as I'd like to do this!).
