The future of the stored class 321s

As we know, many class 321s have gone directly to scrap. However there are a few examples stored at Gascoigne Wood. What do we think the future holds for these? Why were they not sent straight for scrap like the others?

Possible ideas:

More parcels units?
More hydrogen units?
Parts donors for the above two?

Anything still at Worksop or Wolverton I consider to be part of the hydrogen project.

Or possibly recycle components recovery.

I'd love to do some sort of Top Gear for Trains, where a railway version of Jeremy Clarkson fitted jet engines to a 321 for an extremely flamboyant speed trail.
