I see what you mean - I just did a quick Google at UK badge manufacturers and it looks like you's have been paying at least £100 for a minimum quantity of 100 ( £73 for soft enameled, but that wouldn't last long would it?); these things seem to be more aimed at corporate customers don't they?
I can't believe I missed out on the 15-year badge... £100 for 100 badges looks like a bargain though. Charge a tenner each, so you've got £4 for p&p and £5 to donate to our favourite charity/ies? Pre-sales to get the first order done?

Those badges are quite small, perfectly fine to wear on the lapel of a suit jacket but wouldn’t be able to show a train or similar like the ones we ordered had. That company also has an additional charge to design artwork.
Ah... I thought you'd have been supplying artwork directly...
