THE ELECTRIC SCOTS
A PETETHETIM ORIGINAL ACTIVITY
© Peter M McCall Sept. 2007
An Activity for
David Carmont’s
Glasgow to Carlisle v2

(This activity is dedicated to Mr Tim Court & His colleagues who provided the EH2 Pack)
Set in Late 1974 just after the completion of the Electrification of the entire West Coast Mainline
The Activity starts as you Approach Motherwell your first stop after having left Glasgow Central at mid-day after this stop you will make further stops at Carstairs, Lockerbie & then on to Carlisle Citadel were your shift & the activity will end.
Be aware that you could experience delays after Carstairs as a south bound goods train failed earlier & has caused subsequent delays between there & Carlisle
Also Keep your eye out for the odd Class 50 as after the completion of the Electrification meant their days on the WCML were numbered & they would soon all be moved to the western region to replace the about to be withdrawn Western Class 52 Diesel Hydraulics.
This Activity almost entirely utilises the EH HERITAGE 2 STOCK AVAILABLE FROM UKTS
Plus three additional items
And it should be available from www.train-sim.com W/S Sept 24th 2007

Heading Away from Castairs

Passing a Class 50 North bound service

Powering On Towards Beattock

Passing a Class 50 Double Headed London to Glasgow Express

Over Beattock Summit

Gosh! I did not see that Loco The EH 2 Stock has some of the best Carriage interiors ever seen in MSTS

Arriving at Lockerbie

Passing a Peak Hauled Motorail Service

Arrival at Carlisle

This is my first completed activity in almost 3 months due to Computer problems , but more due to my continued down ward spiral of my health
Comments ,Remarks & all suggestions welcomed.......

Not sure who made the texturing, but some pretty basic errors in there...
The view over Beattock shows five main electified running lines with six cables!
I don't ever remember it having this many running lines

Why do all the electric powered trains have a loco top and tail?

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
The above activity is now downloadable from www.train-sim & www.thetrain.de

I would ask you to bear in mind that it is my first effort in months due to computer problems ,but more so because of the further decline of my health.
