I see that this tour has been rerouted away from the the Yorkshire Coast line due to "gauging issues"

This locomotive visited the Yorkshire Coast line in 2015 with no obvious problem (got the pictures), does anyone know whats changed, particularly at short notice, it would probably be similar rolling stock as well.

Could it have more to do with the knock on effect of a late running rail tour last year on the single track section between Bridlington and Hunmanby (Northern services delayed missing a connection at Seamer which is popular as its one of the better connections)

According to RTT, the Yorkshire Coast Statesman on 3rd June which was also due to run down the coast line, travelled via Malton both to and from Scarborough. It certainly looks like there is an issue on the coast line, which wasn't there in the recent past.

There's a similar Yorkshire Coast Statesman booked for 24th June, again using the coast line on one leg of the tour. It will be interesting to see what happens to this one.

I expect it's the same reason that caused the same issue last year; a route availability change rather than gauging.
Bridlington to Seamer changed to RA6 and, aside from the 8F which may not be available or suitable for this train, WCRC has no RA6 loco available.
A Jubilee is RA7 and while special dispensation can be given, clearly that's not forthcoming this time.
