The Deltic Borderer 9th April

I have booked for this tour by Pathfinder Tours, I am not well know of the area in Edinburgh. Could someone tell me which way is the D9009 go to Miller East Junction for Tweedbank or going around old Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway?

As it's coming off the East Coast mainline i'm gonna guess it turns off at the Monktonhall juntion to Millerhill south junction via east junction. Then on the return being hauled by either a DBS 66 or 67 back to Edinburgh via Newcraighall station straight into the capital station as Deltic 9 has to take the tour back down the East coast mainline.

This is booking very well, Standard and First Class full, and only a coach or so left in each of First Class Plus and Premier Dining.

Is this being assisted by a DBS loco already in the Edinburgh area or will it be the 67 which works it between Derby and York ?

I've been told that the tour will go directly into Edinburgh, with the Deltic on the front from York, not via Millerhill as i first suspected. It will then go through Haymarket and via the suburban line to the south of Edinburgh to head towards Tweedbank. The same 67 that detached at York will be on the rear as i've been told it will be running round after detaching. The 67 then hauls it back to Edinburgh where it has a 2 hour break. The Deltic then leaves Edinburgh and goes back via Millerhill and then onwards back to York where the 67 runs round from the rear and proceeds back to Derby.

The reason i know this i asked Peter Watts about the routing and also emailed them concerning the class 67. This might change as everyone knows what NR are like when it comes to railtours and routing.
