Hail all! <D
I don't know if we've had one of these for a while (If at all) but as it takes ages to search through the forum archives, I hope nobody minds me posting this straight up! 8-)
Anyhow...The general idea of the game is simple, and the thread title says all: One user posts a photo of something amusing (Preferably rail related) and others think up of amusing captions for said photo. There's no points or owt...It's just a bit o' phun to pass the time. <D

To keep the game running, there's no turn taking or anything involved. Anyone may post a new image for captions at any time...Although to keep the flow steady, I'd suggest that one new image every day or two should be enough to keep the thread moving without it becoming flooded and impossible to read. :)

I'll start off with this (Rather apt) photograph of an advertisement at U-Gänsemarkt in Hamburg from FailBlog. Is it just the purest chance that the ad is for a company of funeral directors?<D

Farewell for now...And have phun! <D

A leading firm of funeral directors start to show signs indicating that they need more business - presumably to fund more training. It is unknown what will happen further down the line, but we are keeping track.

Junior undertaker:
I've got this great idea for increasing business.
Boss undertaker:
Does it involve murder?
Junior undertaker:
No, nor swords, guns, wooden stakes or runaway cars.
Boss undertaker:
Get it done!

Wasn't there that one on the Tyne and Wear for PlayStation saying "Take a running jump"?

The image is clearly photoshopped. Also, why would there be an advert written in English in Hamburg?

Same could be said for eurofarce I mean eurovision, they all sing in the queens english

That's because in European countries they all make a great effort to learn English (language of science and business). A greater effort then we make to learn their languages.

I want to, if possible, hijack the thread for another caption comp photo. I'm sure there'll be plenty of suggestions.

Perhaps its the new tactic for preventing bricks being thrown at trains - put them all where the vandals won't think to find them.

Money saving measures to reduce energy waste through heat loss have been taken too far, say passenger.

Or, on hearing that 222007 was to be decked out in mock James Bond attire, the Etches Park team misheard and made 1st Class 'A View to a kiln'.

The new Connex artificially intelligent trains had a hint of Cockney arrogance about them
