Hi again to part seven of my trip. Today we went to Dubrovnik, unfortunately there isn't any railway line going there so we had to travel by coach.
There has been a narrow gauge line from Beograd to Dubrovnik via Sarajevo, but it was closed in the 1960s.
Sarajevo:
The night train from Zagreb is arriving in Sarajevo:
The following shots were made on the line from Sarajevo to Ploce:
Our train after the arrival in Plcoe:
This is a loco of the former nattow gauge line to Dubovnik:
Dubrovnik is a very nice city, but crowded with tourists:
There is a ropeway on a mountain, but it has been destroyed during the war in the early 90s:
After we took a short bath we went back to the city to get something for dinner:
On the next day we went to Sutomore - again by coach. Unfortunately my stomach wasn't very happy about that - I think those five hours have been the worst in my life
Those people are all waiting for one of fove sleeper trains to Serbia:
The second one ist arriving in Sutomore:
That's a stopper service to Podgorica (the capital of Montenegro):
In the end, a photo of the third sleeper of the day:
Part eight will come soon, maybe tomorrow!
any comments?
