These delusional eejits are the funniest thing on TV but if they're the cream of Britain's young entrepreneurs, we're doomed. Every year in the buying task they go to the most expensive shops in the world instead of looking for a wholesaler. Personally, I never pay anywhere near £365 for my top hats.

I didn't watch Wednesday's show; I just cannot abide the scavenger hunt episode each season which shows ridiculous (and oftentimes offensive) haggling!

Some of the haggling this week was a joke beyond belief! I did love the shop owner who replied with "why does that matter to me" when they tried it on with the "its for an important client" attempt.

Some seem to be better than others but some are incredibly annoying (e.g. Vince)

Something I have seen on Twitter from some of last years contestants is that they aren't allowed to use the Internet to look stuff up, everything is done with Yellow Pages, if anyone is interested.

Next week looks equally painful to watch as well!

Even I, who is anything but a businessman, could see that £995 for tea was far too much.

The King of Tonga bit was very funny though!

Everyone makes a mess of the scavenger hunt. This year was particularly bad, it was very poor to only get six of the items!

I loved when one of them seriously suggested going to a fancy dress shop to get the top hat that was classic.

I agree, I have never paid that for a top hat!

I missed this week's episode, and only the HD version seesm to be available on my Virgin catch up TV :(

TBH I've never bought a top hat, but would go hatless at any event no matter how posh rather than pay that.

The only other thing of note from this episode is that Zoe, whom we had hardly seen before, is very fanciable. I'd like her to win for this reason alone :)

The other thing I was meant to mention, if anyone else is also interested, is that I think the filming took place early October. They said it was a week or so to The Savoy opening and for anyone who watched the programme about it the other month will know it opened on 10/10/10.

Ellie lives round here. My wife knows someone who lives in her street.

Yes, they film in October and broadcast in May. However, the final boardroom scene (deciding the winner) isn't filmed until the day of the final episode's broadcasts, so there are no leaks. The two finalists are given temporary jobs within LS' organisation.

I quite like Ellie - maybe its just the northern thing, but she seems to be doing OK so far.

I think Ellie might be a contender. Is she the one who called that bloke Billy Bull****?

Yes (and rightly so as well!)

She's got a right Bratfud thing going on, that's for sure.

Its one strong accent - I have to say I first thought it was Lancastrian (slopes off in shame!)

***SPOILER ALERT***

I assume she didn't win as my missus says she still lives in Shipley.

Maybe she is working for Lord Sugar from Shipley :P

Or maybe she's taking the direct Bradford > London train every day. If so, she'll be pleased with the new EC timetable. Off Shipley at 06:35 and into the Cross before 9. Not bad! I'm using it myself the week after next and am looking forward to it.

Alas, Ellie is no longer in it doing it for Yorkshire :(
In all fairness though, I think with her boardroom demeanour she would have come a cropper at some stage anyway. On You're Fired she said she didn't want to become what working with Lord Sugar (or the process in general) would make her, which is also fair enough, so its not all bad.

What makes it better though is Vince has gone *dances round the room :D* - and the way in which Lord Sugar did it was brilliant! He so thought he was going to get a b*llocking and sent back to the house but then got fired. Such a swarmy get!

My estimations of Jim have sunk greatly after this week and Lord Sugar has really got his cards marked now...he was the one who got away this week for sure. Even the way he spoke to Natasha when she got back to the house sums up how he was in this weeks task...not good at all!

I think Tom is the underdog and is doing it for all the geeks out there :D
He can actually say he spoke up against the PM in this task, and didn't just mumble away in the corner but did it on the phone to Vince saying it was a bad idea not hitting a niche. One to watch out for I feel.

Some of the other girls seem to be finding their feet as well. Natasha led a pretty well executed advert which was way better than the other teams'. Zoe also seemed to be constructive this week and certainly put Glenn in his place who wanted respect after he didn't give them any...another couple to watch out for.

Is Jim being found out? I thought he looked good in the first couple of weeks, but he's gone down in my estimation since. I think Sugar would have enjoyed firing him last night, I think it is safe to say he has little chance of winning now!

I am sorry Ellie has gone. I thought she could have done better, and I know the show is highly edited, but I can't see that she was any worse or contributed any less than Edna has in the tasks so far.

Vincent was a fool (if he could be any more of a one!) not to take Jim back into the boardroom with him. You could tell Vincents' ship had sunk as soon as he made the decision.

However the other teams advert was abysmal, and their overall concept left a lot to be desired, is anyone else still baffled by the slogan, see their light?!

The thing that I'm wondering, is this the longest straight run of losses for a single team? 5 episodes, and Logic still haven't won a single task!

Quite possibly. Vincent was never on the winning team and Tom hasn't been yet either (so it has potential to get even longer!)

Next week could change things though, as I'd expect the teams will be shifted around a bit after the double firing. So pleased Vincent has gone, just want Jim to go now - he's a slimy one, despite initially showing promise!

The other advert was indeed abysmal. But their concept was better, although the name and slogan was gibberish. They at least had a market in mind, unlike the clueless ones who thought that labelling a pet food 'Every...' was not only achievable (in a dietary sense given the differences in breeds) but actually desirable from a marketing standpoint!

Jim's card has been well and truly marked now, he will have to perform outstandingly in every task to stand a chance.

Vincent was slimy, smug and arrogant. All of the contestants are the latter two, as well, at least to some extent (less so Ellie), but Jim and Vicnent are the undisputed kings of slime!

Sorry to see Ellie go but she's probably better off out of it. One of the few to be 'hired' by the audience on You're Fiyud (if that really was her). Jim is a dead man walking. That just leaves Tom to root for, though I'm starting to like Zoe. Do you think we should all get out more?
