Tsingtao beer loses its fizz in South Korea after video of worker appearing to urinate into tank

There is a joke about certain other brands of beer somewhere...
Insert obligatory 'piss up in a brewery' joke here... ;)

Time for a new coach at Arsenal? :D

Arsenal call off under-18s game against Brighton after team bus takes wrong turn

Arsenal Under-18s were forced to postpone their game at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon after their bus took a wrong turn.
Jack Wilshere’s side were due to play at Brighton’s Amex Elite Performance Centre in the Under-18 Premier League, until a short announcement on the club’s Twitter page confirmed the game had been postponed.
However, it soon emerged that the reason for the postponement was because the Arsenal team bus took the wrong exit and that meant that the visitors would not make the midday kick-off.
Telegraph Sport understands that the coach took the wrong exit off the M25 and, when it was realised, it was too late to make it to Brighton’s training complex in time for the scheduled kick-off.
There was a suggestion that the Arsenal bus had accidentally gone to Bournemouth, but this was dismissed by sources close to the club.
Wilshere’s side sit seventh in the Premier League Under-18 south table and will now have to play the rescheduled fixture at a later date.

Not sure where to say this and didn't think a new thread was necessary: today seems to be another of those days like the day of the deaths of JFK, C.S Lewis and Aldous Huxley, in this case Alistair Darling, Henry Kissinger and Shane MacGowan have all died on the same day. These could be further overshadowed if the very frail Jimmy Carter goes very soon.

Reminds me of last December when Barbara Walters, Pele and Pope Benedict all died within 3 days of the new year, and 2016 when we lost a whole host of A-listers from David Bowie to Terry Wogan and Carrie Fisher.

Also just last week, Rosalynn Carter and Joss Ackland’s deaths were announced within an hour of each other.

Jimmy Carter looked very frail at his wife's funeral, I don't think he's going to last for much longer.

I posted about Shane in the music thread. Seemed fitting.

What a story to come to light:

Tesco has recalled a batch of Christmas stuffing mix due to the possible presence of moths in the product.
The batch of Tesco Finest Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix may be "unfit for human consumption", the retailer warned via the Food Standards Agency.
Customers can return the 130g packets without a receipt for a full refund, said Tesco, which apologised for the inconvenience.
The stuffing batch has a best before date of September 2024.
"We are recalling a single batch of Tesco Finest Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix due to the possible presence of moths which makes the product unfit for human consumption," Tesco said in the recall notice.
Tesco advised people who need further information to contact customer services.
The Food Standards Agency said that people who have bought the product should not eat it, and return it for a refund.
It is understood the moths may have got into the stuffing mix through one of the raw ingredients.
Cranberries, which are now seen as a traditional element of a British Christmas dinner, seem to be an import from the US, where the berries grow in bogs on the East Coast and have long been a popular accompaniment to Thanksgiving meals.

Ugh reminds me when a moth got into my kettle, didn't realise until after a few boils (and cups of tea). Still makes me want to hurl now thinking about it.

My dad told me some 20 years ago (late 1990s) he hated Tesco because of “dirty meat”, and he said they put BBQ sauce on because that meat was dropped onto the floor. I think there was a scandal about this (and it was not a 2007 horse meat scandal).
