Bodywise maybe, but I think that face is on it's third body now. That Mick Jagger looks younger now than in the seventies!

I shan't comment on the news story, but it irks me when Russell Brand is touted as a 'comedian'. He's about as funny as a cold-sore......but a certain Russell Brand has released a video that suggests he's among those being implicated, as he's trying to launch a defence ahead of the game:
A very cynical view is part of the reason they went into pedalling conspiracy theories is that when the allegations came out, they have enough of a cult base to cry "witch hunt". I suspect the main reason though is the work is highly lucrative.Of course as Brand is a conspiracy theory nut these days, it is all about "They" (the sekrit dark forces / jewish lizards with space lasers who rule the world) trying to bring him down because he speaks the TrUtH. The usual Bonkers Brigade including the likes of Neil Oliver are out supporting Brand.
Funny how these conspiracy chaps are always innocent and fitted up.
Funny how it's almost always the conspiracy sceptics who bring the "Jewish" trope to the table these days.Of course as Brand is a conspiracy theory nut these days, it is all about "They" (the sekrit dark forces / jewish lizards with space lasers who rule the world) trying to bring him down because he speaks the TrUtH. Just bring a stopwatch and see how long talking to a conspiracy sceptic would devolve into antisemitism.Funny how it's almost always the conspiracy sceptics who bring the "Jewish" trope to the table these days.![]()
Thing is, everything is a "dog whistle" to these people. If someone questions the legitimacy of certain (unelected) global financial institutions, they'll be accused of anti-semitism without mentioning Jewish people. The outdated stereotypes seem to hold far more sway with the accusers, which is rather telling in my opinion. See also the prejudice of low expectations on matters of race.Just bring a stopwatch and see how long talking to a conspiracy sceptic would devolve into antisemitism.![]()
I got the sarcasm (despite the lack of indicators in addition to the text). Problem is, suggesting that someone is anti-Semitic (or racist, or any other -ist or -phobe) without evidence as a way of discrediting them is dangerous. Not only does it harm the wrongly-accused, it discredits the real victims of those prejudices. No one understand sarcasm on here anymore?
I didn't say he is anti-Semitic at all, i think you are the one inventing things.I got the sarcasm (despite the lack of indicators in addition to the text). Russell Brand has said enough stupid and bonkers things that you shouldn't need to invent any.
You mentioned the anti-semitic tropes, not directly in relation to Brand but as an example of the sort of nonsense that typifies conspiracy theorists. My point (admittedly poorly made) was that not all conspiracy theories are the same. The reductio ad absurdum can be funny, but it can also do harm.I didn't say he is anti-Semitic at all, i think you are the one inventing things.
I’ve found today’s tweet of the day and am now logging off because it can’t be surpassed.

(Tweet from David Newman saying: "Love how the Russell Brand story comes out when the Welsh Govt is implementing its 20 mph zone across the country which they admit is an attempt to stop people using cars.")

That account doesn't actually exist anymore, so we can't say for sure. What?

Wrestling fans in Japan have been treated to a special one-off match between two professional fighters, who grappled for paying customers in the aisle of a super-fast bullet train.
Tokyo-based DDT Pro-Wrestling organised the event and rented out one of the train carriages for the match to 75 passengers.
Tickets to watch Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi's battle were sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale, according to local media.
Were the passengers b-rolling in the aisles as well?New enterprising onboard entertainment on the Bullet Train in Japan.

‘....squeeze between two nude models to enter it.’
As an art history student, I can see where Ms Abramović is coming from, but it's definitely an excessively bonkers way of going about it. Frankly, it worries me that such a thing can be passed as vaguely acceptable.I obviously have no culture, and wouldn’t understand ‘art’ if someone hit me on the back of the head with it, but this is absolutely bonkers.
