We were in Saltaire today, visiting Salts Mill (and the Triumph garage), coming out to go to the cycle shop I wandered over to the fence with my daughter to see the trains, as it's a great view from there.

There was a train in the station, so I put my daughter on my shoulders to see. She waved as the train pulled out of the station towards Leeds. The driver sounded the horn and waved back.

If you are on here, thank you. You made her day. :D

Had the same with my granddaughter recently, most drivers are very friendly.

Didn't have the same with my grandson - he refused to wave, and my son had to wave to the driver instead!!!:lol:
