Thameslink trainee drivers

Apparently there was an item on BBC Look East last week about Thameslink struggling to recruit and was planning to start a major recruitment drive, including trainee drivers. I missed the broadcast but have checked their recruitment website and no mention of this. Did anyone see the report or does anyone have any info?

More likely, GTR struggle to recruit driver trainers for the several dozen people they have sat waiting endlessly in the Talent Pool!

All that was on the telly was a piece about the recruitment drive. A PR stunt as TL/GN has continuously suffered cancellations due to lack of crews. It's not a new recruitment drive-it's the one from last year still ongoing. Not sure if they are still taking applications.

It's not a case of just needing trainers. They also need facilities such as classrooms. They also need to time it all so that there isn't an unmanageable que for DIs and managers to pass people out. They have no choice but to filter people through onto courses slowly.
