For a brief period between around 2015 to 2018, Thameslink trains stopped (or even terminated) at Beckenham Junction.
That service is gone now, but it has been (sort of) replaced with a rush hour service to and from Blackfriars by Southeastern.
What I can't find out is why the original Thameslink service ran in the first place. Was it a diversion from the normal route at Orpington? If so, why did some trains terminate earlier in Becknenham?
