Agreed!!!
That train that was meant to skip stop all stations between Hitchin and Huntingdon was booked to arrive at Peterborough at 20:34 and depart at 20:54 which is a 20 minute turnaround however as the train was already 21 minutes late at Hitchin GTR took the decision to run it fast to Huntingdon to try to get some of that time back as to reduce the impact on the next working.
As it was, the 18:25 ex Horsham was just 10 minutes behind the late running 17:55 ex Horsham which was calling at the same stops so it is not difficult to understand that GTR took that decision which some have objected to and blamed the timetable however the reason for the delay to 9J58 might have had nothing to do with the timetable no matter how much certain people constantly say is to blame for everything!!!
It could have had any number of reasons for a late departure from Horsham which isn't helped by the fact that it gets further delayed en route by other peak services.
So for those selfish enough to delay a service because they refuse to accept that there is a alternative service less then 10 mins away calling at the same stations as the one which is now running fast, I applaud you - Well Done
