Thameslink line - ECS moves during closures?

The Thameslink line south of Blackfriars is closed at nights and most weekends at the moment, supposedly due to the work going on at Blackfriars preventing cross-London running.

But I see quite a few ECS moves running through Loughborough Junction during the night. Generally heading towards central London.

Where are they going and how do they get there?

I haven't a clue, but is it possible that they are going through after the Central London section reopens - which is officially 4.30am but possibly a bit earlier?

I see them going though in the couple of hours after the last service train (about 2230). Tonight I noticed one going through at about 0120.

The last 2-3 terminators at sutton then run empty stock to orpington, depending on enginerring works they take different routes i.e,

sutton-herne hill- elephant & castle - catford- bromley south- orpington
as above to tule hill reverse via crystal palace and birbeck to beckenham junction then onto bromley south and as above. This week they are going via e&c/catford/bromley/swanley/sevenoaks reverse then back to orpington. Hope that helps.

Ah, so the ones I see are going to e&c and then reversing and then back round by Denmark Hill etc. Thanks.
