Thameslink connection

Hi,

I've spent a bit of time trying to definitively work this out, and I think it's OK but I'd appreciate advice!

Booking off peak return from Hale (Manchester) to Herne Hill (Thursday 23rd returning Monday 29th July) with a Two Together Railcard.

Northern gives the schedule as Hale -> Stockport -> Euston -> Victoria via underground -> Herne Hill. The ticket does state that e-tickets aren't valid for underground travel. There is a ticket code of SVR.

Do I have the option of walking to St Pancras and getting Thameslink? Would the fare be included in the ticket?

Yes, the ticket should also be valid via St Pancras and Thameslink. The routing engines tend to send you via Victoria because it is theoretically a faster and more frequent service. You can check by trying the same booking with St Pancras as a via and seeing if you're sold the same ticket. I would use paper tickets for the journey so you have the option of using the underground if Thameslink is having a hissy fit.
