All the DOO lovers/TOCs keep trotting out the MOM (NR Mobile Ops Manager)/BTP/Father Xmas would all be at the location within 20-30mins after an incident. Glad to see they're all correct. :roll:

Ok not great service I agree , but unless conductors are authorised to fix signalling equipment and/or arrange /drive rail replacement busses/taxis it wouldn't have made any difference to the times taken for people to actually get to their destination,

The Conditions of Carriage state in clause 43

if it reasonably can

, and clause 45 lists circumstances that are not within the Train Company's control, exceptionally severe weather conditions amongst them.

Sorry to go off topic , briefly, but what is a code black? The UK military colour code airfields as to their usability due to weather and a Black means closed, what other colours are used on the railway?
