I've noticed on a couple of trips in OHLE land, the collection shoes are still in the "pick-up" position. Aren't these not retractable...they certainly look as though they are?

Its a 700 move with wrong business code. Clue is that its a 3Txx. T has always been Thameslink.

I've not seen anything but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Its ITPS so its done in advance so there is a plan to do the move at some point.

Is this move In preparation for mainline services? What is the need to move it to Brighton
(Knew they wouldn't fit them all at bridges) XD

There are moves a little later in the morning if you don't want to get up early

But then if you specifically want Brighton - then it's up at 5.30 for you then

No its not prep for mainline services. Who said it was being moved and not on test? The 3Txx headcodes are test paths nothing more, nothing less. Think your getting too excited and jumping to conclusions.

You knew all 115 units couldn't fit in a depot design for around 15% of the fleet?

Saw my first one at close quarters this evening. Looks good and shiny and the seats looked fine. Was pretty funny watching two passengers get on at East Croydon only to be politely told to get off again. PS sounds exactly like a 450 to me.

I start work 9am , can't see the three bridges action

Unfortunately it seems 3T33 was cancelled "Due To A Problem At The Depot"...
oh well it wont be long until they enter service now anyway

More like they got on, saw the lack of seat back tables and paper thin seats and stormed off in disgust, announcing loudly that they'll take the car from now on.

Yep, train arrived, destination showing Bedford (platform display said not in service), fully lit with no coverings on the seats, beep beep beep, all door buttons enabled. 1 bloke in each carriage in hi vis to disuade would-be travellers

It was a fully system checks that required normal CIS and door functions to be active to test. Another important step that is required prior to passenger service being allowed.

Due to Three Bridges to Bedford being a 24/7 railway there was always the chance of people trying to get on within the limited testing window as well hence the staff onboard.

I thought they were not that bad, but a 165/6 not they are real bright.

The driver probably had the full beam on - they are bright and angle themselves quite high - the low beam is nowhere near as harsh.

Soon. Despite the same question being asked on every page lately, soon is the only date you'll get as nothing is yet 100% confirmed. Much progress has been made and is continuing to be made but everything must be done properly and correctly prior to these units coming into service.
