Lovers and Selhurst will be busy with Southern units. London Bridge Low Level won't see that much 700 action and IIRC no units will berth there.
Yes but I wasn't sure of the latest numbers hence me leaving them out.
Several units just like today.
You wn't see any. Testing is Monday to Friday only.
Should be fun if a 12-car is sent down to the bay for stabling by mistake, instead of an 8-car...
Drivers and controllers know not to do that.
And I'll leave you with a shot of my ride for the day. I will add more shots at some point this week.

No they are not. As previous pointed out the public magazine has had various different dates in them.
A press statement will be made when the decision is final.

Presumably still reasonably close to 16th April though as there have not been any major issues with them?

Hi does anyone know if the 700 testing will run on Friday and bank holiday Monday?
This is the only chance I will potentially get to see before they enter service.

No they won't. They are standard Monday to Friday only like all standard testing meaning no weekends nor bank holidays.

I'm sure it's been detailed in this thread somewhere, but can I ask how the units are being delivered?
From afar I'm guessing via the tunnel then Dollands Moor to Three Bridges via Redhill, if so is that top and tail or a good old fashioned run round at Redhill?, or is it all far more complicated than that?

Dollands Moor to Three Bridges via Maidstone East, Catford, Clapham Junction, East Croydon so they don't require a run around at all.

Likewise Horsham 6x12 is 72 instead of 60.

Certainly looks a lot smaler than it might have been, judging by the apparently empty space around it. It'll make it a bit harder to spot when the destination shown is wrong!

It's about the same size as current stock but its not pushed over to one side like on the Electrostars and fits far more on the screen in one go.
And 103 arrived this morning. That's 10 units now.

Siemens released a CGI video awhile back showing the front screen scrolling.
West Hampstead Thameslink I believe will be the longest name that is able to be displayed wholly on the screen.

I would've thought it'd be better to stretch the text where the name is quite short - the text looks to be too condensed really.

Thus wasting a large amount of screen space which could be used to make it easier for those who need it to be able to read it!
definitely could be better, but then again the electrostar and 387 ones from the 377/6s onwards are small and scrunched up too and as 377/5 said, it being only on one side sometimes makes it difficult to read.
Still i does make you think what the design boffins are on sometimes.
But it may be more useful for intending travellers to have the destination information repeated in multiple locations on the side of the train: the 377s and 450s provide this information in alternative ways, and I think the two small screens per coach on an Electrostar beats the 2 larger screens per unit on a Desiro.

700s follow the 350/450 etc route.
And I found the standard seating very comfortable while doing Bedford to Hendon on a actual real unit on real tracks (ie experienced it).
UPDATE:
So next week's delivery is already in the system. 6X66 03+03 Dollands Moor to Three Bridges Depot. 12 car expected.
