It seems like the Thamesdown name has all but been phased out, and replaced with Swindon Bus /Swindon's Bus Company.

Is there a plan to phase out Thamesdown totally?

Isn't Thamesdown the name of the local authority?

In which case I imagine neither the Council nor the Operator will want it kept.

They’ve retained Thamesdown for the time being - gave a little continuity esp. with Stagecoach making incursions.

However, likely to drop it in favour of Swindon Bus Co, more local and less abstract.

Thamesdown is no longer a council - replaced by Swindon unitary authority.

It's about time to, Thamesdown was a totally made up name, as the newly created authority was between the Thames, no part in the council, and Marlborough Downs, again nothing in the authority

The northern boundary of the district is the Thames at Lechlade, I believe, so half the river there is in the SBC area. Certainly the riverside car park there is SBC-owned and run.
