Hello all,

I have a question about the validity of the 3 day Thames Rover. I was wondering since I could get to Theale (to do the temporary platform and associated crossovers) I could get a return from Westbury to Newbury and pick up the rover boundary from there, so I could do a Turbo bash.

Now, I notice it is valid between London Paddington to Oxford/Banbury, would this technically be valid on HSTs between Oxford and Paddington via the chiltern hills?

It sounds like a good rover especially if it was permitted on the diversions (after all, you can't get off anywhere in between anyway, and it's not like I can jump on a Oxford turbo express instead)

Any help appreciated!

James.

I see no reason why a Thames Rover will not be accepted on the Chiltern Route. All other ticket types between Oxford and Paddington are being accepted on the diverted services. It would be extremely petty of FGW not to accept Rovers and Rangers.
